Dr. Saba received his paediatric training in both the UK and Australia and completed a neonatal fellowship at Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK). Dr. Saba is a passionate medical educator and serves as an Honorary Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University in Victoria.
With extensive experience in neurodevelopmental and behavioural paediatrics, Dr. Saba has a particular interest in early intervention. He has been working as a consultant paediatrician in Australia for more than 10 years. He has previous leadership experience as the head of the paediatric department at a regional hospital in Victoria. In this role, he has been instrumental in developing a trans-disciplinary,
team-based approach to neurodevelopmental assessment and early intervention care.
Dr. Saba is a certified administrator of Bayley’s Neuro-developmental Assessment and specialised autism assessment tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised, and the 3DI – Developmental, Dimensional and Diagnostic Interview.
Driven by a passion for working with families, communities, schools, and medical and allied health professionals, Dr. Saba focuses on identifying each child’s strengths and challenges. His goal is to help every child flourish and reach their potential through holistic growth.
Dr. Saba has been living on the Gold Coast for 2 years, where he is a valued member of the team at John Flynn Private Hospital. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the region on his bike and playing tennis. Dr. Saba and his wife are proud parents of two children.
