Nicole Brown-Shepherd is an Accredited Practising Dietitian based on the southern Gold Coast, Queensland. She is the founder of Wholistic Dietetics, a business born out of her passion for helping others achieve optimal health through holistic nutrition and wellness.
Nicole’s practice is specifically focused on paediatrics, although she also supports mothers when needed. Her areas of expertise include faltering growth, food allergies and intolerances, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, nutritional adequacy on restricted diets, weight management, tube feeds, and gastrointestinal concerns.
As a proud member of Dietitians Australia and an evidence-based practitioner, Nicole is dedicated to connecting her clients with their nutritional needs, allowing their bodies to function optimally. She adopts a holistic approach, combining the latest research with personalised nutrition analysis, counselling, education, and evidence-based dietetic medicine. This comprehensive approach ensures that her clients receive practical nutritional guidance and strategies to promote overall health and well-being.
Nicole holds dual degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics and Exercise Science from Griffith University on the Gold Coast. She has furthered her studies and gained extensive experience in paediatrics, maternal health, and the biochemical imbalances associated with Autism and ADHD. Her passion for research is evident, with a particular interest in neurodisabilities, epigenetics, the gut microbiome, and improving pregnancy outcomes for both mother and child.
When she’s not at work, Nicole can often be found enjoying the Gold Coast’s natural beauty, whether she’s cruising along the coastline on her motorbike, skateboard, or surfboard, or simply soaking up the sunshine.
